My projects_

Water Bowser Distribiution System

During our Agile methods module at University, we were tasked with developing an Oracle APEX based Water Bowser Distribution System. The goal of the project was to work as an Agile SCRUM team planning, researching and developing the app.

  • SQL

Arduino Uno Thermometer

During my Programing Fundamentals module, I was tasked with building a project using the Arduino Uno. There were many cool things to choose from but I decided to build something practical which I can use on a daily basis, so I decided to build a thermometer.

Language Used:

  • C++

Scientific Calculaotr

The Scientific Calculator was a project I developed while I was studying C++ during my first year at University.

Tech With Dom

Tech With Dom is a non-profit Wordpress blog and YouTube Channel that I run. The initial idea was to share my experiance in the world of IT and Computing but the channel quickly grew and I decided to add a section for Technology.

Gustav Holst Trail

The Gustav Holst Trail is a web app based on JQuery Mobile I developed during my second year at University. The app features an interactive web map packed with interesting waypoints relating to Gustav Holst.

Custom Built PC

My original custom built PC was getting old and I was facing issues with my Motherboard. Since the processor was getting old, I decided that the best cause of action was to start again. I decided to go with AMD on this occasion and I think it was a good choice, especially due to the amount of money I was able to save.

  • AMD Ryzen 7 1700
  • MSI Radeon RX570 OC 8GB
  • 16 GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000 MHz
  • 480 GB SSD - PNY CS900

Custom Built FreeNAS Server

With devices such as tablets, laptops and desktops being so cheap these days you might want to keep all your files in one location. The simplest solution is to use cloud storage but where’s the fun in that? Especially when you have to wait for your files to sync to your devices.

  • Intel Core2Duo
  • 8GB RAM (2x 4GB) - GOODRAM DDR3
  • 2x 1 TB Hard Drive (Raid 1) - WD Blue
  • 120GB System SSD - WD Green
